About Lulu’s Miniatures

Lulu is a creative teacher experienced in a highly popular art form - “handmade food miniatures.” These mini versions of food, 1/12 the original size, are handmade with meticulous attention using high-quality Japanese clay. Each miniature is exquisitely made through a process that combines clay with colour, and they appear almost identical to real food…only much smaller! Her range of delicious foods includes fruits, vegetables, cakes, breads, Chinese dim sums, and even Krispy Kreme donuts!

Two of Lulu’s most renowned works are a miniature patisserie made for Australia’s leading celebrity pastry chef, Adriano Zumbo (as featured in Channel Ten’s “MasterChef”), and a miniature lamb chop brooch produced for the widely seen TV commercial for Australian Day. Her work has been reviewed by the media and showcased in the “Dollhouse and Miniature Expo” at the Sydney Olympic Park. 

Lulu is passionate about spreading joy and love through her work. In her own words, “Through enjoying the process of making miniatures, we get to set aside our worries and stress, and simply live in the moment…it is a fun and great way to attain balance and happiness.

Over the years, Lulu has studied extensively with some of the most renowned teachers in Japan and Hong Kong. She is currently the only teacher in Australia who teaches this type of artwork. Her work is in high demand and her highly popular YouTube video has received more than 25,000 visits from audiences across the globe.
